Lubricants for the Highest Performance - ELKALUB

With innovative high-performance lubricants, oil and fuel additives mainly for use in the automotive sector, the Süddeutsche Bardahl was founded in 1956. This was the cornerstone of our todays company Chemie-Technik GmbH. In the 70’s we focused our products more towards power increasing lubrication for industrial and handicraft applications. Since that time our products have been sold under the brandname ELKALUB.

For about 40 years we have been working together with manufacturers of printing machines. This partnership and our presence in printing houses have lead to specially designed lubricating oils, lubricating greases and sprays. Our products are used for the setup lubrication and are prescribed or recommended for the operation of the machines. To an increasing extend specially developed H1-lubricants are being used.

H1 lubricants for safety in dealing with food, pharmaceutical products and cosmetics

Very special requirements apply to lubricants used in the food industry. No compromises may be made with respect to the harmlessness of lubricants. H1 lubricants are lubricating oils and lubricating greases whose occasional, unintended contact with food presents no danger for humans.

Here is an example: in the gripper shaft of a printing machine, the insulation of a bearing is defective. In the printing process, the material to be printed on is soiled by dripping-down lubricant. If this material is used to manufacture packaging in the food-processing, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics industry, the use of H1 lubricants is absolutely necessary in this case of application, since endangerment to the consumer can thus definite
